Career Overview
Dr. Qiwei Wang is an associate professor of atmospheric science at Nanjing University. He received his B.S. in atmospheric sciences and his Ph.D. in meteorology from Nanjing University. His research focuses on mountain weather and climate, mesoscale dynamics and numerical simulations. A particular focus area is convection initiation. From 2008 to 2010, he visited the Center for Analysis and Prediction of Storms of the University of Oklahoma. He has been assigned to jointly teach Dynamic Meteorology for undergraduates at school of atmospheric sciences since 2010.
